After the controversy over Ingrid Betancourt, I did not particularly want to read this book, and then Jean-Pierre offered it to me and I discovered a great text.
Ingrid was a hostage for nearly seven years. She says the extreme conditions of the jungle, deprivation and which enabled him to survive. She perceive the complexity of the human bond and frailty. It is well written, captivating, strong and deep.
