Leaving the office on Saturday night thinking that working at the weekend deserves a drink, I decided to go to Salt located in Gastown - an old neighborhood gentrification, but that does not mean moved the largest population of drug users in Canada.
It was dark, raining and having only a vague notion of the place to share a lane named (appropriately?) Blood Alley, I naturally took the first long dark alley that seemed the path. Apparently, there is no panel for the alleys.
Suddenly a man appeared who was not well dressed world. The adrenaline rising in me. Our physiology is fascinating in two seconds I knew what to do if attacked me.
"You pierced in the eye with your umbrella and you go left."
Fortunately, it was too lost in his artificial paradise.
In the second lane, a little better informed, but isolated enough, I found the bar.
The concept is interesting - cheese and charcuterie and a selection of sparkling wines, whites, reds and fortified. The atmosphere is relaxed and warm and I really liked the food. For cons, I drank the tempranillo was fatally uninteresting and since I had already mounted the adrenaline would have liked something more provocative.
